Google Maps Troubleshooting
We're sorry you’re having trouble with geolocation—let’s try a few more things!
If your phone has GPS or Wi-Fi, please make sure those are turned on before the next step.
Next, try locating yourself using Google Maps:
- Click here to open Google Maps.
- Tap the gray dot above the yellow “Street View” figure. This will attempt to find your location.
- Do this first on your phone, then on your computer.
- When prompted, click “Allow” so Google can access your location and zoom in on the map.
If you don’t see the gray dot, click the question mark at the bottom right and select “Return to classic Google Maps” to find the dot. Sometimes it can take up to 24 hours for Google Maps to update your location, so please try again after a little while.
